The weather has been really nice the last few days, which means a lot of work has been done to the addition (to see before pictures just click here).

The basement was finally finished and framing began on Monday. Here the floor has been put in on top of the full basement.

Walls then started going up. Here is a picture of Joe climbing up through what is going to be a new sliding glass door.

You can now get a feeling how it’s all coming together.

The large opening will be a slider and the window to the left is where the sink will be. My new stove will be centered in-between the two side windows. Here is a view for another angle (with my daughter checking out the rubble pile).

Next up is a new roof (for the whole house) then windows and siding!

Looking great! I bet you will be glad when it is all done, though!

Are you reading THE GARGOYLE? I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on it! I loved that book, but it is not for everyone!

That seemed to happen fast! I didn’t realize this new edition was going to be your KITCHEN! How cool! I have a thing for kitchens. That is where we spend 90% of our time in our house!

So quick! At least it seems so from this perspective…how’s it going living in a construction zone?

Kailana – The Gargoyle was an intense read, although satisfying at the same time. I think it is going to be a hard one to review!!
Sandy – Apparently the outside work on an addition is the quickest part – once they get to working on the inside (plumbing, electricity) things tend to slow down.
Softdrink – so far the construction zone has been only outside, so hasn’t affected our everyday life yet. Once they break through into our home is when it is going to get crazy around here!
