I need another challenge like a hole in my head, but figured since I’ve been meaning to re-read those juicy books of my youth (think Flowers in the Attic and Forever) that this gives me the excuse to indulge in some old pre-teenage reading! Here is my list of six books (one extra for good luck) that I plan on reading for the challenge (beware, it is Judy Blume heavy – not quite sure why, but I’m just all about Judy today)!
Flowers in the Attic by V.C. Andrews
Deenie by Judy Blume
Are You There God? It’s Me Margaret by Judy Blume
Forever by Judy Blume
Wifey by Judy Blume
A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L’Engle
Haven’t heard about the Shelf Discovery Challenge? Hop on over to read all the details on Julie’s blog Booking Mama!

Thanks for joining us! You picked six that I would like to read/re-read too! I just re-read ARE YOU THERE GOD? IT’S ME, MARGARET over the weekend and loved it!
If there wasn’t already so much on my plate for books I’d do this but alas I can’t. I’ll just re-read them before I let my daughter read them, when she’s of age.
Good Luck!
great choices! It will be interesting to be able to read Forever and Wifey without having to hide them
Great list! I’ve only included one Judy Blume in my picks, but I’m sure that once I’ve read that one, I’ll feel compelled to revisit others!
Stephanie, you’ll enjoy the Judy Blume books, and also A Wrinkle in Time. I’ve heard of Flowers in the Attic but haven’t read it. Have fun!
I’ve got my eye on this challenge as well, even though I don’t really need any more either! But these books! They defined my youth! I can’t even imagine what it would be like to read them again! I must do it!
I joined too! This is such a fun challenge.
I’m glad you’re in – I just bought 3 more books for the challenge today.
I signed up for this challenge too. Wifey and Forever are on my list.
I think this is a great challenge and I like your list!! Can’t go wrong with Blume!
Like I said on Twitter, I am very happy to see A Wrinkle in Time on people’s lists! I have read the Blume books, too, but I was never a big fan of her…
Awesome choices. One of these days I’m going to try to finish the Dollanganger series. Flowers was just amazing. I also love Madeleine L’Engle. I need to read Judy Blume though.
Oh wow, you really are all about the Judy Blume! I think this is going to be a fun (and not to difficult) challenge.
