I’m Stephanie, a thirty-something stay at home mom of two girls and part time graphic design student. I’ve been writing about books on my blog for five years. In Spring of 2009 I spoke on a panel of book bloggers at the publishing industry conference Book Expo America, where we discussed the growing relationship between book bloggers, publishers and authors. Other than reading, I like to spend my free time cooking, digital scrapbooking, knitting and taking photographs of my family. I am also a cancer survivor.
Along with writing here at Stephanie’s Written Word, I have also contributde posts over at the ReadingGroupGuides.com blog and Mothers with Cancer. My reviews also appear on Amazon.com. If you would like to contact me via e-mail you can do so using this address: wordblog(at)optonline(dot)net.

Hello,
I was just wondering if you could review a book series called Gaia Girls. My kids and I found it at the Green Festival in Chicago and LOVE the series. It features Girl ECO Heroes.
My girls love the lead girls characters and my boy loves the COOL powers the girls get.
We are huge fans. http://www.gaiagirls.com

Hi friend – hope you are well and feeling good – I’ve been thinking of you, but apologize for not writing sooner. We barely have our heads above water since Ruby’s arrival in our home.
Hi Stephanie,
I’m a huge reader as well and spent 8 years working in an indie bookstore.
I just posted a review for “Julie & Julia” on my blog, and found you through the “Possibly Related Posts”.
You mentioned you were interested in food-related books; I am too. Just finished Ruth Reichl’s “Tender at the Bone” and it was GREAT. I’m actually hosting a virtual book club on my food blog and would love it if you or any of your readers wanted to stop by. You can go here for more info: http://mllenoelle.wordpress.com/book-club/
Cheers and happy reading!

Dear Stephanie,
Thanks so much for being part of the panel at the BEA. As a new published author is was really informative, not to mention as an adoptive mom, we have something very special in common. Although my daughter was adopted at fourteen, I am sure you and I could talk a bunch about the crazy process!
Sorry, I hit the button to soon! I appreciated your time at BEA and it was nice to meet you. Take Care and thanks again.

Stephanie,
I had no idea you were a Jersey girl! How nice that we both have the Clinton Book Shop in common. They are great over there — I call Rob my Literary Obiwan.
I’ve been reading your blog for a while now, and it’s one of only 4 book blogs that I go to on a regular basis (there are so many I would get dizzy if I read them all). You have amazing content, and great taste.
I’m extremely new to the book blogging scene – I launced July 1st – and I’m getting a little overwhelmed. I learn something new every day, and really do enjoy it.
I would love to catch up with you at the shop someday, maybe after the kids are back in school.
Sincerely,
Alison

Just wanted to wish you a Happy New Year!

Hi there! I really like your blog! Great reviews.
Hi Stephanie
I’d like to subscribe to your blog by email so it comes into my inbox whenever you post a new entry. I can’t find a button for this on the blog anywhere. Is there a way to do this?
Thanks,
